Obv.: ΘE[OΣ] , crowned head (corona civica) of Julius Caesar facing right.
Rev.: ΘEΣΣAΛ - ONIKEΩN / Δ (below bust) , bare head of Octavianus (Augustus) right.
RPC I, 300, 1554 (88 pieces listed) ; SNG ANS 824 ; BMC 58-59 ; Touratsoglou 1-54 .
RPC tentatively dates the type to the reign of Augustus but notes the very similar no. 1555 (no Δ below bust) may have been struck as late as the reign of Domitian.
