Rev.: ONE / RUPEE / INDIA / 1942 / یک Ø±ÙˆÙ¾ÛŒÛ , legend in English and Urdu (“Yek Rupya“) within a single line circle, surrounded by a saracenic scroll composed of conventional representations of a rose, thistle and shamrock. At the top and bottom are different representations of the Indian lotus flower. All this is within another plain circle that is in turn within a raised, decorative-toothed border. Bombay mint mark: small dot or diamond on the reverse under the ornate (the lotus flower) near the bottom of the coin.
