Obv.: portrait head of the young Hieron II, hair bound with laurel wreath, left-facing with swan(?) behind.
Rev.: ΙΕΡΩN[ΟΣ] (in exergue) , mounted warrior galloping right with couched lance, chlamys (cloak) flowing behind. {AP} -monogram under horse's forelegs.
