Palaeobeudos (Beudos Vetos) in Phrygia, Hadrian, 117-138 AD., 
Æ22 (ø 21-23 mm / 6,57 g), bronze, axes about coin alignment ↑↓ (ca. 190°), 
Obv.: AY KAI TPA - AΔPIANOC , his laureate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right. 
Rev.: ΠAΛAI[O] - BЄVΔHNΩN , Men standing half left, crescent on shoulders, wearing Phrygian cap, holding pine-cone in his right, left leaning on staff. 
rare, 3 specimens in Isegrim database: von Aulock Phrygien 1, 851-853 (spec. 1-3) / Loebbecke ZFN 1887 p. 50, 1(1) / Lane Men II, p. 71, 1(1) ; BMC 17, p. 346, 2 (2) ; Berlin coll. (spec. 1 + 3) ; SNG v. Aulock - ; SNG Cop. - . 

Palaeobeudcs (Beudus vetus) seems to have been situated near the N. end of the Synuadic plain, some 8 miles N. of Synnada. It
appears to have struck a few coins in the reign of Hadrian, doubtless on some special occasion. No personal names occur. The types are standing figures
of Apollo, Men or Demeter.
