Obv.: Pahlavi legend 'AuHRMaZ AFZUI' (Hormazd, the bestower of prosperity) , facing bust of Hormizd, head right, wearing Tiara surmounted by crescent with |||: inside, single dotted-border. Crescents are over both shoulders. Three crescents with stars at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock are outside the rim.
Rev.: Pahlavi script " tš‘ " = regnal year 9, left and "WYHC" (mint abbrev. for an uncertain site in Fars or Central Iraq, right; two attendants flanking a flaming altar, star and crescent beside flames, all inside single dotted-border, fire altar is narrow decorated with upturned ribbons.
Star to the left and crescent to the right of the fire. Attendants are king and krince (wearing their high hat krown. Both are facing forwards with hands resting on sword hilt.
