Nemausus (Nimes) in Gallia, Augustus, struck ca. 16-10 BC., countermarked 11-7 BC.,
Æ Dupondius, (25-26 mm / 9,08 g),
Obv.: IM[P] / DI[VI F] , heads of Agrippa (left, with rostral crown) and Augustus (right, bare-headed), back to back; two countermarks: rectangular countermark before head of Agrippa: I{MP} (Werz 107.8/2) and below Augustus´ neck, wheel of 4 spokes (circular, Werz 25.3). - têtes adossées d'Agrippa coiffé de la couronne rostrale à gauche et d'Auguste nu à droite.
Rev.: COL - NEM , crocodile chained to palm tree, above palm, a wreath with long ties, two palm branches below. - crocodile enchaîné à un palmier qui est surmonté d'une couronne ; sous le crocodile, deux palmettes.
