Fengtien (now Lioaning) Province is one of the Manchu provinces and lies north and west of North Korea, and east of Beijing. The provincial mint operated from 1897-1931.
Shenyang (simplified Chinese: 沈阳; traditional Chinese: 瀋陽; pinyin: ShÄ›nyáng), formerly known by its Manchu name Mukden (Manchu: á ®á¡ á¡´á¡©á¡á ¨) or as Fengtian (Chinese: 奉天; pinyin: FèngtiÄn), is the provincial capital and largest city of Liaoning Province, People's Republic of China, as well as the largest city in Northeast China by urban population.
