The Kaystrianoi in Lydia, probably minted at Hypaepa, ca. 200-100 BC., 
Dichalkon / Æ 15 (14-15 mm / 2,76 g), 
Obv.: head of Dionysos (youthful) right, wreathed with ivy, behind {MIXA...} -moogram. 
Rev.: KAYCTP-I - ANΩN, lion-skin draped over club, in upper right field {EPΠ..} - monogram.

The Kaystrianoi (Caystriani), the people of the plain of the Lower Kayster (HN). The river Kayster, today Karasu, has been celebrated by the ancient poets as the favorite residence of the swans. Ephesos was located on the mouth of the Kayster. The plains were first mentioned by Homer, Ilias 2.461. The coins were struck probably in Hypaipa (HN).
